Telco's SG 14 is a technologically advanced, self-contained light curtain system which generates a dense curtain of infrared light beams, evenly spaced at 46 mm, covering a height of up to 2555 mm and with a sensing range of 10 m. The system replaces the high maintenance contact bumper edge and saves costs significantly, on property damage, wear-and-tear and energy consumption.

The light curtains are available in two different compact, IP67 profile designs (slim line 12x30 mm and leading edge 38.4x14 mm), ensuring that the detectors can be installed in all types of doors. The SG 14 series is installed as a sensing device in roller shutters, sectional, high-speed, cooler room and fire-resistant doors.

The Dynamic Sequential Blanking (DSB) function of the SG 14 allows the detectors to be conveniently positioned in the guide tracks of a door, where the door travels directly in front of the protection area, interrupting the beams sequentially from top to bottom. The system can distinguish between the closing door and an object or person, ignoring the beams that are interrupted by the moving door, leaving the remaining beams active to detect an object or person in the doorway.

The Telco SG 14 performs reliably in the most demanding environments and conditions, which include elements such as sunlight, reflections, vibrations, dust, precipitation and water. The system requires no onsite set-ups or adjustments. Sensitivity is automatically adjusted according to the installation conditions and intelligent software ensures it operates reliably in environments with outdoor exposure to rain and snow.
